1. Technical requirements and functions of the vehicle controller The vehicle controller (Vehicle Control Unit (VCU)) is the assembly controller of each power system of the pure electric vehicle, and is responsible for coordinating the work of each part of the electric drive system, the power battery system and the brake system to improve the power, economy and safety of the pure electric vehicle. 1.1 Technical requirements of the vehicle controller According to the polarization of the vehicle control network and the division of the input and output signals of the vehicle controller, the vehicle controller should meet the following technical requirements. (1) design hardware circuit, should take into full consideration the harsh driving environment of the car, pay attention to electromagnetic compatibility, improve anti-interference ability. The whole car controller in hardware and software should have a certain self-protection capability to prevent very long end of the situation. (2) The vehicle controller should have enough I/O interfaces to collect various input information quickly and accurately, at least two A/D conversion channels to collect accelerator pedal signal and brake pedal signal, multiple switch input channels to collect vehicle gear signal, and multiple power drive signal output channels to drive the vehicle relay. (3) The vehicle controller should have multiple communication interfaces, including a CAN communication interface for communication with the motor controller, battery management system and industry standard meters, an RS232 communication interface for communication with the host computer, and an RS-485/422 communication interface, which can be compatible with devices that do not support CAN communication, such as some models of in-vehicle touch screen.
(4) Under different road conditions, the car will encounter different shocks and vibrations, the whole car controller should have good shock resistance to ensure the reliability and safety of the car. According to the car control network and the whole car controller input and output signal division, the whole car controller should meet the following technical requirements.
